「神經刀」Smith在第一節切入後，落地時不慎扭傷膝蓋，退場之後並未再返回球場，初步X光檢查為陰性，但詳細傷勢狀況得等到後續核磁共振檢查後才能判定。

Smith本季至今出賽15場比賽皆為先發上陣，平均可以攻下8.1分2.3籃板外帶1.5抄截，雖然曾出現和對手在板凳席打招呼而漏掉防守對象的糗事，但仍是騎士重要戰力。

「必須有其他人挺身而出。」James賽後表示：「我們都很希望Smith的傷勢沒有大礙，但現在該是其他球員跳出來彌補他位置的時候了。」

除James外，騎士三巨頭之二此役也有良好發揮，Kevin Love拿下28分14籃板，Kyrie Irving攻下24分7助攻，連續10場比賽拿下20分以上得分是個人生涯新紀錄。

至於暴龍則依舊是雙衛打出最佳表現，DeMar DeRozan攻下全隊最高31分，Kyle Lowry有24分進帳。

眼看死對頭紅襪隊已經補強最大咖的前白襪先發投手Chris Sale，這壓力讓洋基隊總經理Brian Cashman(凱許曼)喘不過氣，他說：「這是大合約，也是超級交易，他們失去很多，但他們也獲得不少，他們就像是金州勇士隊一樣。」

他說：「勇士隊有Kevin]Durant、Draymond] Green、Klay Thompson、Stephen Curry，」先發大將沒有一位是肉腳，而勇士隊也在2015年拿下NBA冠軍，

不過Cashman表示洋基隊並沒有追逐Chris Sale，儘管他過去面對洋基隊拿下4勝1負，防禦率1.17的絕佳優勢，但現在紅襪隊拿到Chris Sale，代表洋基隊可能在對戰上面會更吃虧。

洋基隊已經想辦法補強牛棚，也都開出合約給「火球男」Aroldis Chapman跟道奇終結者Kenley Jansen，就看最後獎落誰家。

洛杉磯快艇主控Chris Paul明年夏天將有提前終止合約權，2日傳出他屆時將行使權力，要求一張長達5年的頂級合約。

根據《ESPN》報導，Paul認為自己的健康狀況非常好，5年合約走完後儘管已經35歲也沒有問題，由於他的資歷超過10年，他的新合約很可能超越Mike Conley與曼菲斯灰熊續約的5年1.53億美元天價。

Paul本季平均攻下17.9分、5.2籃板、8.8助攻、2.8抄截，《看台報告》表示他是快艇今年開季戰績長紅的關鍵人物，球隊當然會砸錢留人。
